Event Info

Join us at the Rendezvous City Beef Round-up, where for the past four years, we’ve championed Wyoming ranchers and celebrated the finest in beef production. Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24, 2024, as we prepare for another unforgettable Round-up.

About Rendezvous City Beef Round-up

Our round-up event is a unique opportunity for beef producers and consumers to come together, showcasing the exceptional flavor and sustainability of Wyoming beef. Through educational classes covering economic impact and environmental benefits, as well as hands-on preparation and pairing sessions, attendees will gain valuable insights into the beef industry.

Beyond celebrating local beef, our mission extends to creating new markets for producers and supporting the future of agricultural education. Proceeds from the event contribute to a meat science and agricultural scholarship program, with plans to expand statewide.

Don’t miss this chance to indulge in delicious beef, learn from industry experts, and support Wyoming’s vibrant ranching community. Join us at the Rendezvous City Beef Round-up and experience the best Wyoming beef culture.

Our Story

The Beef Roundup grew out of a desire to showcase the best beef in Wyoming and give recognition to the small local producers leading the industry. Growing from humble beginnings, the Beef Roundup has become the only nationwide event focused on high-quality craft beef and brings together producers from all across the country.

A few articles and social media posts got the attention of several producers from other states that contacted us to compete in the competition. So we developed an open division for producers outside of Wyoming to compete for the “Best Beef in the West.” After a few years, we now host over 30 producers from all across the country. This year we are looking to have over 50, and someday at least one from every state.

Our Vision

The beef roundup is designed to bring producers and consumers together to celebrate beef, educate the public on the benefits and sustainability of beef production, and showcase the exceptional flavor of beef.

Why Join Us?

Our event will showcase beef sampling for the public and offer a variety of workshops for producers and enthusiasts, and classes on beef pairing and cooking. It will be fun!

How Does the Beef Roundup Work?

For the “Best Beef in Wyoming” division, we have ten ranches from across the state.

For the “Best Beef in the West” division, we have producers send in Ribeye steaks, New York Strip steaks, Sirloin steaks, and ground beef.

Each steak is served separately to our panel of “celebrity” judges (normally 6-10 judges).

During the day, we have several events for the public about everything from beef preparation to beef production and sustainability.
